Honda Motorsport-Inspired Leather Jackets Built from Genuine Hide

The Repsol Honda color identity — deep orange, red, and white with tight racing panel construction — is one of the most recognized liveries in motorsport. At Devilson, we build honda leather jackets that draw from that paddock aesthetic, cut in-house from genuine cowhide and lambskin and assembled without outsourcing any structural sewing work.

We use full-grain cowhide at the back panel, chest, and shoulders — 1.0–1.2mm thickness selected for consistent grain density across the full hide before cutting begins. Lambskin handles the sleeves and underarm flex zones at 0.8mm. YKK hardware runs every closure — main zip, chest pocket, cuff adjusters, and ventilation channels — and we double-stitch all panel joins with bonded nylon thread before attaching the lining.

All racing jackets run XS through 5XL — we accept custom sizing requests before order confirmation.

Construction, Fit, and Care Details

The full-grain cowhide shell on race-cut styles holds its panel shape through repeated use because we select consistent 1.0–1.2mm hide across the back and chest — not blended thicknesses that soften unevenly after a season. Lambskin sleeves sit slightly forward in the cut to keep the shoulder seam in place when the arm extends toward the bars.

We attach the full polyester twill lining at the cuff and hem only — it doesn’t restrict shell movement across the back or pull at the shoulder seam under arm rotation. Snap-button storm plackets back the main zip on race-fit styles.

Sizing notes:

  • Race-inspired cuts run slim through the chest and upper arm — size up if you ride with armor inserts
  • Street-fit styles are true to size with extra room built into the upper back panel
  • Measure chest, shoulder width, and sleeve length — all three appear on each product page size chart
  • Custom sleeve length, chest width, torso length, or color panel splits available on request

Care:

Wipe the cowhide surface with a damp cloth after every ride and hang to dry before storing — moisture left in the grain speeds up surface cracking at panel edges. Condition with a wax-based leather balm twice a year to maintain grain density and keep the dyed orange and red panels consistent. Store on a wide hanger, never compressed.
