Construction, Fit, and Care

The cowhide we use runs 1.0–1.2mm thickness — firm enough to hold panel shape through regular use, light enough that it doesn't restrict movement at the shoulder. Where lambskin is used, it's selected for consistent grain and even stretch across the sleeve length.

Every stress point — underarm seam, back yoke join, front zip base — is double-stitched with bonded thread. Internal pockets are bar-tacked at the corners. The full polyester lining is sewn in separately, not glued, so it holds up through years of use.

Care:

Surface wipe with a damp cloth handles most dirt. Condition with a leather balm twice a year to keep the grain from drying out. Never store folded — hang it, and keep it away from direct heat.
