KTM Factory Racing-Inspired Leather Gear Cut from Genuine Hide
KTM’s racing identity runs on contrast — matte orange against flat black, aggressive panel geometry, and a silhouette that sits low and forward. At Devilson, we draw from that Factory Racing aesthetic, pattern and cut every ktm motogp clothing in-house from genuine cowhide and lambskin, and sew every structural seam on our own floor.
We use full-grain cowhide across the back yoke, chest, and shoulder panels — 1.0–1.2mm thickness, graded for consistent density before any pattern gets cut. Lambskin takes the sleeves and underarm flex zones at 0.8mm where the arm needs unobstructed rotation. Every closure runs YKK hardware — main zip, chest vents, cuff tabs — and we double-stitch all load-bearing joins with bonded nylon thread before the polyester lining goes in.
All ktm motogp clothing pieces in this range run XS through 5XL — custom sizing requests accepted before order confirmation.
Construction, Fit, and Care
The full-grain cowhide shell on race-cut styles holds panel shape because we remove inconsistent-thickness sections before cutting — there are no thin patches hidden under panel seams or behind lining. Lambskin sleeves carry a forward arm rotation built into the cut pattern so the shoulder seam holds its position when you extend toward the bars rather than riding up toward the neck.
The full polyester twill lining attaches at the hem and cuff only — sewn in separately so it moves independently of the shell through the back panel. Snap-button storm plackets back every main YKK zip on race-cut styles.
Sizing notes:
- Race-inspired cuts run slim through the chest and arm — size up one if you wear armor inserts underneath
- Street-fit styles run true to size with additional room built into the upper back panel
- Measure chest, shoulder width, and sleeve length before selecting — all three appear on each product page size chart
- Custom sleeve length, chest width, torso length, or orange-black color split adjustments available on request
Care:
Wipe the cowhide surface with a damp cloth after every ride and hang dry fully before storing — moisture sitting in the grain accelerates surface cracking at panel edges, particularly on dyed orange sections. Condition the outer shell with a wax-based leather balm twice a year to maintain grain density and color consistency. Store on a wide-shoulder hanger, never folded along the back panel.
